Rockport is Bird Habitat Heaven!
If you like to birdwatch, Circle W RV Ranch is near the some of the best birdwatching areas around.
The Rockport-Fulton area is abundant with birds including the only migrating flock of more than 265 whooping cranes that make it to the Arkansas Wildlife Refuge. Other species birders can see include the brown pelican American, white pelican, double crested cormorant, white-faced ibis, roseate spoonbill and white-tailed hawk.

In addition to the Arkansas National Wildlife Refuge, some places to view these awesome creatures are:

There is also a 19-stop walking trail highlighting birds and other natural things of interests that starts at the Demo Bird Garden.
The Seasons of the Texas Birds
In the spring, you can see up to 200 species a day, attracted to the diverse habitat during migration.
100 species nest in the Texas coastal bend during the summer.
The fall features stunning raptor flights of merlins swainson’s, broadwings, peregrines and many more. With the shorebirds that descend on the marshes and estuaries and hummingbirds flitting about the feeders in mid-September, you can sometimes see 200 birds in one backyard!
Permanent residents, dawdling migrants, southern vagrants and more than 100 bird species make for exciting birding in the winter!
